Meet Your Therapist
We all have the power within to heal ourselves and each other. Originally from upstate New York, Amber had a dream of pursuing a career in natural healing. She set out on a journey to discover more of this magnificent country, and found inspiration in many of the stories from those she encountered. Her love for the outdoors led her to the amazing
place of Taos, New Mexico, where she experienced the serenity and power of living among true natural beauty. It was here she first discovered her love for Massage. From there she embarked on an adventure to the Northwest. Traveling north along the coast of California, she finally arrived in Portland, Oregon in August of 2001. She drank in the city culture and all it had to offer, as she watched her dreams begin to unfold. East-West school of the Healing Arts was the perfect place for her dreams to become a reality. Her passion for massage and the dynamics of the human body continued to grow and evolve. She graduated in June of 2003 with an advanced certification in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage.
Currently practicing for over 8 years; her modalities in massage range from Deep Tissue, Sports, and Neuromuscular therapies to Hot Stone, Pregnancy, and cupping. She is always in search of new knowledge to gain a more in-depth and integrated understanding of the human body, and to improve her understanding of pain patterns.
Amber moved to Bend Oregon in March of 2009 to embark into the world of teaching. Currently teaching as adjunct instructor in the Massage Therapy Department at Central Oregon Community College, Amber prides herself in devoting endless energy to the program. She has an incredible passion for teaching and enjoys her interaction with students and staff. She is a big advocate for local business and networking within the community and is often volunteering for local events, as well as encouraging her students to get involved.
Growth is always possible, especially through real-life experience and first-hand knowledge of people and possibilities. Massage is a great way to create balance in the body and bring peace of mind and pain relief to people in need. She looks forward to many fulfilling years to come, evolving more and more with each day through her practice and teaching.
The human body is an endlessly fascinating machine…it is a true work of art.
Your True Power comes from within. The power of touch is a great way to connect with yourself and realize your body’s True potential.
